About The Ards Forest Photographic Installation

‘Ards Forest Throughout the Four Seasons’ explores and celebrates the ever-evolving beauty of Ards Forest. The photographic illustration goes back through the four seasons since 2014, says Art House owner and artist, Brian O’Doherty.

The exhibition is a careful selection of photos which Brian describes as ‘particularly beautiful, interesting and evocative’. In part of the installation, some of the pictures are integrated into a stone wall at the back of the galler. Some have living ferns growing around them.

About Ards Forest

Ards Forest Park lies between Creeslough and Dunfanaghy and covers approximately 1200 acres of breathtaking landscape. It includes a variety of habitats, from sand dunes, beaches and salt marshes, to lakes and woodlands.

It has inspired a full series of pieces – the Ards Forest Park collection – by the Derry-born artist Brian O’Doherty. Brian set up The Art House Gallery in the seaside village of Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal in 2011.

Visitors to the gallery appreciate that Brian takes time takes to share his joy and love of art with them individually. And they love our mix of landscapes, cityscapes, block prints, prints and original artwork. The Art House ranks as Ireland’s No. 1 gallery on Trip Advisor – the world’s largest travel site.
